Surviving the struggle session

So, you finally decided to educate your children in the comfort and security of your own home. I have no doubt that you had thought long and hard about your decision. Also, while I am not a betting man, I would wager that you sincerely thought your desire to be a home educator would receive the praise and support of your closest friends and extended family. But quite the opposite happened.

Looks of disbelief, knitted eyebrows, and deep frowns greeted your announcement. Words of caution, worldly wisdom, and citations from “experts” created doubts from those whom you believed would have been your loudest cheerleaders. Truly bewildered, you blocked out the negativity and strengthened your resolve to forge ahead anyway. It took courage and a good dose of faith. But regretfully many parents with lesser resolve give up even before starting.

The Bible warns us not to be ignorant of the devices of our enemy. We all need to learn a lesson from politics. A favorite device of Cultural Marxists, the Woke mafia, and other criminals against humanity is the struggle session. If you ever had to endure a struggle session, you know firsthand that it is an unpleasant experience.

You are first isolated from your group and then are bombarded with demands to repent, to apologize, and to beg for forgiveness for your crime (which is not at all a crime; it is imaginary) for offending someone or for doing something the criminals deem in their fantasy world to be inappropriate. However, if you apologize, your admission of “guilt” will never be enough, and all you have done is concede that the false premises are correct. The Marxists know that if one of the links is broken, the entire organization will eventually become ineffective. Therefore, supporting the individual who is enduring the struggle session by outsiders must have the support of EVERYONE in the organization.

Most of us can endure the struggle session when the attacks are coming from our enemies; that is expected. But when our friends turn on us, fail to support us, or even if they say “perhaps this once you should say you’re sorry, because you’re making us all look bad,” then we find that standing for what we know to be the truth and the right thing becomes so very difficult. It is hard to stand alone. But now I hear someone saying, “Yeah, but you and God make a majority.” This is true, and I do not doubt it; nevertheless, it is still hard to feel isolated, abused, and friendless.

In the context of home education, you will have to endure the struggle session for your “crime” of depriving your children of an education, of socialization, and of independence. Of course, all of these so-called advantages for attending pubic or private schools are pure bunkum. I have addressed the fallacy of socialization before with this post. However, a few more words about socialization are in order.

The chief reason you do not wish to have your children attend a school that herds dozens of students into an indoctrination cell (public or private) for five days a week is simple: PEER PRESSURE. Anyone older that twenty-five years knows this contagion is real and can really cause you to make bad choices that can affect you for the rest of your life. Yes, we were all told to choose our friends wisely. Are you kidding me? When did kids ever during the history of humankind have enough wisdom to choose anything based on reason and not emotion?

A simple search on the internet will reveal the prevalence of peer pressure regarding whether children transition to LGBT. Who failed to see this coming? Parents are bewildered that their daughters are announcing they are now boys and vice versa. Why should their children not do this when all of their “friends” are “transitioning”? Solution: Take your kids out of the school and teach them at home. No, there are no more excuses. Do it now. I assure you: this is no crime.

Remember to support those parents who want to do the right thing by educating their children at home, but cannot seem to get over the summit because of the struggle session conducted by both enemies and family. Here the homeschool community has done a very good job with providing ideas, curriculum, and support groups. While all home educators have different approaches in their schools (thank God for liberty), the one thing that unites them is their children represent the values and beliefs of the good life worthy to be preserved and to be passed unto the next generation. There is no greater calling in life.
